Se ha demostrado que el sistema Cera Trap es eficaz contra la mosca de la fruta y tiene una larga persistencia durante toda la campaña sin requerir manipulación. Gracias a su capacidad de captura, permite controlar eficazmente la población de la plaga, reducir los daños en la fruta causados por la mosca mediterránea y, por lo tanto, es una buena opción para aplicar las estrategias de GIP así como para cosechar cítricos y fruta ecológica

A New Ready-to-Use Mass Trapping System for the Control of the Mediterranean Fruit Fly Ceratitis capitata (Wied.)

Cera Trap system has been proven to be an effective system against the fruit fly with a good persistence during the whole campaign without manipulation. It successfully controls the pest population due to its capture capacity, decreases medfly fruit damage and therefore gives a good opportunity to the IPM strategies as well as organic citrus and fruit harvest

CeraTrap, the mass trapping system to control citric fruit fly pest.

IOBC wprs Bulletin Vol. 62, pp. 207-212
The efficacy of CeraTrap (CT), a specifically developed enzymatic hydrolyzed protein, was evaluated against standard mass trapping (STD mass trapping) and standard chemical treatments (Chemical STD) with field trials carried out in citrus orchards assessing medfly captures and punctured fruit. Field trials were conducted on susceptible mandarin trees (Citrus reticulata cv. Esbal), orange trees (Citrus sinensis cv. Washington Navel) and clementine trees (Citrus clementina cv. Oronules) in Morocco, Italy and Spain.
